Canadian Dental Care Plan

The Canadian Dental Care Plan in South Edmonton (CDCP) is here to help make dental care more inexpensive for Canadians who really need it. This program will assist families and individuals earning less than $90,000 a year who don’t have dental insurance.

How Does the CDCP Work?

The CDCP offers financial support for essential dental services based on your family income.

  • For incomes under $70,000: You only pay the difference between what the CDCP covers and the fees listed in the BC fee guide.
  • For incomes between $70,000 and $79,999: You cover 40% of your dental costs.
  • For incomes between $80,000 and $89,999: You cover 60% of your dental costs.

Please note that not all dental treatments are included under the CDCP. It’s a good idea to check which services are covered before starting your dental care to avoid any surprises.

Yes, you can! You have the freedom to choose any dentist who is part of the CDCP network. If you decide to switch to a different dentist, just check the directory to find a new one who works with the program.

To stay updated about the CDCP, make it a habit to check their website regularly. You can also look at other government resources for the latest information on eligibility, coverage options, and how to apply.

You can fill out your application online through the CDCP portal. Just make sure to have your personal details, proof of where you live, and any other necessary documents ready. If you need help with the application, there’s support available to guide you through the process.
